Muslim Youth and Family Services (MYFS) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2022, founded on the principles of inclusivity, equity and diversity.
In the late 1990’s a former social worker Naheed Yusuf noticed the lack of opportunities for Muslim children in care to celebrate and connect with their Muslim heritage. With the help of family and friends she began organizing community events to this end. This initiative has now been formalized and we have registered as a not-for-profit corporation aiming to work with child aid societies in the GTA to provide a sense of community and connection for Muslim youth and families.
